Egypt Missions Day 11

TRANSFORMATIONS
Back to the Recovery and Post Op rooms. One of the best parts of the trip there was seeing the people after surgery.
I woke up one morning and rushed to the hospital to see if I could catch Qalif and Amir. :)
I luckily did. They were hurting because of the surgery. But I got to watch as they saw themselves in the mirror. They were so surprised at what it looked like! A complete transformation! They could now live a completely normal life! I got a lump in my throat as I talked with the boys. They knew they're life would be different.
Another person I met was a 13 year old girl named Malach. Which means Angel. She was so sweet. I got to know her. I talked to her about school, friends, what we like to do. We played cards for a long time and we got to know each other. Her cleft looked absolutely gorgeous! She was so beautiful! Especially on the inside! I worked past my shift just to hang out with her some more. I promised her I'd be back before she left in the morning.
She left too early.
